What is Access Apprenticeships?

Access Apprenticeships is an 18-month full-time programme designed to help you kickstart your career. You'll gain hands-on work experience with industry leaders, receive mentorship and coaching, and build skills that employers value.

You'll be a full-time employee from day one, receiving a competitive salary and benefits (not an intern or trainee, but a full-time talent!). If it's a good fit, you may even transition into a permanent role with your Host Company at the end of the programme.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to recent Polytechnic Diploma graduates who are ready to enter the workforce. You must:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or PR
  • Have less than 2 years of full-time work experience
  • Males must have completed their National Service (NS)

If you're motivated to learn, grow, and build a meaningful career now, this programme is for you.

When does Access Apprenticeships start?

Access Apprenticeships kicks off with a 1-month bootcamp in June 2026, equipping you with essential skills and workplace readiness. By the time you step into your role, you'll already feel prepared to succeed.

You will begin your full-time placements in July 2026 till December 2027, earning, working, and leveling up every step of the way.

What kind of salary and benefits will I receive?

As an Apprentice, you'll be hired on a full-time employment contract by your Host Company. This includes:

  • A competitive monthly salary benchmarked against industry standards
  • Full-time benefits such as paid annual leave, medical leave, and CPF contributions
  • In some cases, a bonus component, depending on the Host Company

As a career-ready polytechnic graduate, Access Apprenticeships provides you with a guided and structured avenue to excel in the workforce early.

How does recruitment work?

The process is simple:

  1. Apply with Access – Tell us about yourself and your goals
  2. Access Interview – We'll get to know you better
  3. Level Up – Shortlisted candidates receive resume and interview coaching so you're ready to shine.
  4. Host Company Interview – We'll match you with the Host Company of your preference and support you through the final interviews.
  5. Start Strong – Once accepted, you'll join the bootcamp and then begin your full-time apprenticeship journey.

Are there any costs that I need to bear?

All training, mentorship, and programme-related activities are fully supported. You will not need to pay any fees to be part of this programme.

What happens after the programme ends?

After successfully completing the programme, you may transition into a full-time role with your Host Company, subject to business needs and suitability. Once converted, you may also receive a pay increment and a completion bonus, where applicable, once your new contract is signed.

How many graduates for Access Apprenticeships?

The first batch will welcome up to 20 apprentices, creating a tight-knit community. You'll get to bond, network, and grow together.

What if I want to apply for multiple job roles/companies in the programme?

In the job market, nothing stops you from applying for multiple roles, so feel free to do so! You may be considered for more than one role or company based on your interests and interview performance. But if you receive multiple offers, you will choose only one Host Company to join.

What happens if I secure another opportunity during the programme?

Apprentices are expected to commit to the full 18-month placement after the bootcamp. Your employment contract and probation terms will follow your Host Company's HR policies.

How is this different from internships or traineeships?

Unlike short-term internships or traineeships, Access Apprenticeships is a full-time, structured apprenticeship. You'll receive mentorship, rotate across teams for exposure to different roles and management, and complete career-focused training modules.

Apprentices are full-time staff and are treated as such. Host companies will invest in you through on-the-job training and rotations, and the possibility of conversion is stronger for Apprentices.

Access supports you throughout your journey, with monthly check-ins and ongoing engagement, ensuring you gain hands-on experience and are prepared for meaningful long-term roles.

How is this different from a Graduate Management Associate Programme?

The Access Apprenticeship Programme is modelled after Graduate Management Associate Programmes, typically offered to degree holders. This programme uniquely provides Polytechnic Graduates with the opportunity to be involved in a programme with leadership and managerial rotations.

Access Apprenticeships is multi-sectoral, offering opportunities across different companies and industries. As an Apprentice, you will be supported by Access every step of the way, through monthly check-ins and ongoing engagement.
